People stored all of our memories in Google Photos for the past couple of years.

Now, after five years of being completely free, Google Photos decided to limit the free uploads by capping at 15GB from June 1st 2021.

Don’t worry much, everything uploaded until then won’t count against the cap, but this change is seriously complicating what used to be an easy recommendation for everyone.

All the great deal services ends up raising their prices and Five years is a pretty solid run for Google But it’s still a disappointing act.

Google claims 80 percent of its users won’t reach this 15GB cap for atleast 3 years.

Nevertheless, Pixel users will continue to have the free unlimited storage of high quality photos.

Pixel users lost original upload for free some time ago, but under the new system they will maintain high quality upload for free, so there is a small bonus that’s kind of back for those users.

Today Google claims, more than 4 trillion photos are being stored in Google Photos, and every week 28 billion new photos and videos are uploaded. Since so many of you rely on Google Photos to store your memories, it’s important that it’s not just a great product, but also continues to meet your needs over the long haul. In order to welcome even more of your memories and build Google Photos for the future, we are changing our unlimited High quality storage policy.

So what are you waiting for

Don’t worry much, everything uploaded until then won’t count against the cap.

Upload your remaining photos and memories to your google photos account soon.

After that you will have to subscribe to Google One Storage.

Time to act smart..!
