TNJFU PG Admission 2024-2025 

Educational Qualification:

MBA:

Candidates who have passed the final examination of any Undergraduate Course of any UGC recognized University under any stream viz., Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries and Medicine etc.,

M.Tech:

Candidates possessing four-year B.Tech. (Biotechnology) Degree of Tamil Nadu Dr.J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University or any other University and Central University shall be eligible for applying for M.Tech. (Biotechnology) course.

Ph.D.:

• There shall be two categories of candidates for admission to Ph.D. (Life sciences) Programme: (i) Internal candidates and (ii) External candidates.
• The final year students of current batch are also eligible to apply

Selection Procedure:

MBA:

Eligible candidates will be called for written test and counselling as per their rank.

M.Tech:

• The standard of entrance examination for M.F.Sc. / M.Tech. admission will be at the undergraduate level and will include 100 multiple choice type questions with four responses, covering all the core courses in B.Tech. (Biotechnology) programme.

Ph.D:

The candidates working in the schemes selected through the entrance test or candidates qualified NET or its equitant are eligible to apply for the PhD (Life sciences) programme.

Application Fees:

Candidates should pay an Application fee, according to the course applied. The fee details are given below

M.Tech:

The application fee should be remitted only as a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, TNJFU, Nagapattinam (Rs.750/- for SC/ST and Rs.1500/- for others).

Ph.D:

Counselling Fee (Non-refundable) – Shall be paid on the day of counselling

• For SC / SCA / ST : Rs. 1000/-
• For OTHERS : Rs. 2000/-

MBA:

Counselling Fee (Non-refundable) – Shall be paid on the day of counselling On the day of the entrance examination, the candidates must pay the entrance examination (EE) fee (non-refundable) and the counselling fee.

• For SC / SCA / ST: Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 750 [EE] and Rs. 250 [Counselling*])
• For OTHERS : Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1500 [EE] and Rs. 500 [Counselling fee *])

How to Apply:

• Candidates should submit a downloaded filled-in application along with the application fee (Demand Draft) by Post addressed to The Chairman, PG Admission Committee, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi –628008 on or before 30.07.2024 or any other date that may be extended and notified.
• and Candidates must enclose the photocopies of the following certificates/documents along with the application
